For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.”
– Isaiah 41:13
Thank you for the crosses. We will be so excited to share these with our church family. Thank you for all you do!
Alison – Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta Canada
God’s richest blessings to all of you at Cross The World.
In His love – Susan, Community Lutheran Church, Bullhead City, AZ
We are Winter Texans. Received your beautiful cross at the Cowboy Church. A basket of them were left on the table for anyone to take. I will be passing mine on to my family and friends. What a blessing. The Lord’s word, crossing the world, one cross at a time. Praise the Lord for your discipleship.
Coleen – TX
I found my cross in Oatman, AZ. What a find! I needed God’s reassurance that I was on the right path. There it was. Thank you Jesus.
Shirley – AZ
I took a box full of those lovely crosses to our small local Food Pantry where I volunteer. We are not permitted to offer a cross to anyone directly but are allowed to leave the box in plain view so that all can take one or not. At the end of the day, there was only ONE cross left. May God bless you and all you love with His greatest blessings.
In His love, Geo – AZ
I am lead to start a Pen Pals Mail – Childrens Ministry and I am going to use these crosses inside the envelopes with the story/activity book. Easter theme is my next one and these will be perfect. I love them! Thank you!
Caley – MI
We do cold calls for our church in our town as well as prayer requests in people’s homes. We would like to leave them something to remember us by.

Greetings from the Fargo/Moorhead area. There is a very unique ministry thriving in my community and I wanted to share its info with you. It is called Fix It Forward Ministry.
Fix It Forward Ministry is a not-for-profit charity located at Fix It Forward Auto Care (a full-service auto repair facility) in Moorhead. The ministry’s goal is to remove the transportation barrier for needy members of the community and help enable them to be independent and self-sufficient. This goal is accomplished one of two ways: 1) by providing free car repairs to needy individuals, to help keep their vehicles on the road and safe, or 2) by repairing donated vehicles and giving them to needy members in the community who do not have a vehicle or whose vehicle is beyond repair. After hour volunteer labor, discounted parts, and charitable donations cover the costs of repairs.
Anyone in need who receives a car, or repairs to a car, from Fix It Forward Ministry must be referred to them by one of the 30 participating assistance organizations in the Fargo/Moorhead area such as the YWCA, Salvation Army, or Jail Chaplains. In 2018, there were more than 120 cars fixed and 81 placed.
A volunteer from my church, Messiah Lutheran Church in Fargo, details the car before it is sent on its way so it is as clean and fresh as possible. And, this is the exciting part for me … the part where Cross The World gets involved. One of your crosses accompanies a Bible that is placed in each car; together, these give people HOPE. So, thank you, for making it possible to think outside the box to yet another road for the crosses to go to those who need encouragement. I am blessed to play a part in this program; may God bless you as you continue to bless others through your ministries.
Carla – MN
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas. A special thanks for the 600 crosses we obtained for our Operation Christmas Child shoe box packing party. We were able to pack 843 at our event. God provided crosses for each box as one of my friends worked with ladies at a Care Center to make crosses so we were so happy to have all the crosses to fill each box. May God continue to bless you as you share His love thru your crosses. We have heard a lot of our shoe boxes went to the Philippines carrying your crosses. We are keeping you and your wonderful ministry in our prayers. Merry Christmas!
Edna – AZ
We can’t begin to tell the blessings your crosses have given so many people that we meet everywhere we go. They are a wonderful gift that touch people’s hearts and inspire them to share their testimonies with others. Keep the crosses going on, as your friend’s dying wish is being fulfilled – ‘Cross The World’.
Nick & Pam – PA
I can’t tell you how much your crosses will help spread the Word! I sent them to Operation Christmas Child!
Candice – CA
How thoughtful! The crosses you make have been a great source of connection with Faith Community Nurses and those who receive them, often with smiles and sometimes tears so we can offer support. Christmas Blessings to you.
Annette – MN
Thank you so much for crosses to share with our leaders across Presbyterian Homes. They are such a special gift – especially knowing they were handmade by you with some help from our Heartwood residents. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Darcy & Courtney, Presbyterian Homes – MN
Thank you for your ministry. I have a great joy passing them out to people at the Dallas Kidney Transplant Center and everywhere I go. These crosses are a ministry to people in this world to let them know Christ Jesus died for them on that cross. Thanks for your ministry.
Keith – TX
This group of ordered crosses will go to our Family Camp Retreat attendees. We meet in CA this year and are a group of about 75 Christians who come together once a year to praise, refresh and renew.
The Spanish crosses will travel with a small group from our church, New Song Lutheran, to Ensenada, Mexico to a school and orphanage named Lantern Hill. Thank you for your ministry
Sheila – New Song Lutheran Church, Henderson, NV
I really appreciate what you, Ernie, and all who volunteer are doing to reach people around the world with the love of Jesus. Seeing God’s hand in all of this is a beautiful example to me of His great love, and personally brings encouragement as He places things on my heart today in which to share through writing. What He has orchestrated through Cross the World is a reminder to me that He truly does work “all things together for good”. Thank you again for your labor of love. I look forward to meeting you one day.
Many blessings, Holly- TX
We shared the crosses as a gift for the elderly homebound parishioners at First Lutheran as a part of a special communion service on Maundy Thursday. They each held them as a precious treasure. Many thanks for these wonderful, but simple gifts.
Helene – First Lutheran Church, Milford, IA
It was great talking with you to place our order for 600 crosses for our Operation Christmas Child shoe box packing party. God will be sending these beautiful works of art to several countries around the world. Thanks for sharing the talents God has given you with us so we can share God’s love through our shoe boxes.
Edna – AZ
My grandparents from Arizona sent me one of your crosses. The cross says AZ on it so I thought I’d post and let you know how amazing it is that it has traveled up to me!
Kaylene – MT
Thank you for making these available! So far I’ve packed 552 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child this year. As you open each box, there is the wooden cross laying right on top. I lay an open solid color wash cloth over the clothing and toys in the box and then lay the cross on it. It looks so pretty. The ones I ordered are literally traveling around the world.
Audrey – MN
Thank you for the prompt delivery of our crosses! We received them yesterday and painted 30 of them today to deliver to the New Beginnings Pregnancy Center. We love Jesus and are blessed to use these crosses to show LOVE to others!
Krystine – MN
Just thought that I’d let you know that I recently passed out a half-dozen crosses (which I received while visiting Kansas this summer) when visiting Christians in Kyrgyzstan. A little Kyrgyz boy, the son of a pastor in Bishkek, said that he would be happy to keep one for himself and give others to his friends.
We sent off 22 Operation Christmas boxes last week. Each box received a Cross the World necklace. I am a Parish Nurse and in the group of Centracare Nurses at St. Cloud hospital. I was privileged to help give away 400 crosses at the Health Fair in St. Cloud. Thank you for your faithful ministry in crossing the World with the cross of Christ.
Kay – Faith Lutheran Church, Monticello, MN
I just love these crosses! I feel God’s blessings every time I give one away.
Don – MN
Thank you so very much, for sending the Crosses , we are placing them in ziplock bags along with candy for the children that may stop by on Halloween. It is our way of showing them that we do not celebrate evil but we celebrate Christ. Thank you and God bless.
Moore Ministries, FL
Yesterday I delivered 200 of the Spanish Crosses and 150 of the English crosses to the catholic church up the road. They have Spanish services on Sunday at noon. Hopefully, the congregation will be able to use the crosses in their ministry and or share them with other locations. I am planning on assisting with the Soup Kitchen for the homeless through All Churches United and will have the crosses available there. Through the crosses, there was a lot of HOPE shared there the last time our church assisted … big burley guys with Harley jackets and torn clothing had tears in their eyes. You never know what others have gone through, but we know Who brought them in that night.
Carla – MN
We are planning to distribute these crosses at a client appreciation Christmas party. Thank you for this wonderful ministry!
Tina – MN
Thank you for the wonderful crosses. We will be taking them with us on our mission trip to Tanzania, Africa. They will be cherished. God bless!
Sue – Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Stillwater, MN
I helped in the Parish Nurse booth today at the Senior Expo in St Cloud. We handed out the 400 crosses from Cross The World in less than 2 hours. Amazing! Praise the Lord.
Kay – MN
The kids loved the crosses! The hammering was the favorite part, I think. Camp St. Michael was a huge, huge success and kids are already planning for next year. Thank you again for the crosses and the amazing gift of your call to the cross. What an example you are to us all. Blessings and Prayers of Joy.
Monica – Staples Motley Catholics, Staples, MN
God is so awesome. Crosses were on the table at a soup kitchen which we were led to!!! Thank you for your ministry. It was a tearful blessing to watch the less fortunate grab a cross and tie it on them. To God be the glory!!!
In Christ, Bob & Pam – WA
We will sing ‘To God Be The Glory’ on Sunday and remember your love and the ministry of Cross The World with the cross of Christ. May Jesus be Glorified and proclaimed to the people of Monticello as we hand out these crosses on June 10th at the Monticello ‘Walk and Roll Day’. Thanks for making it possible for Faith Lutheran Church to be used by the Lord in evangelism in Monticello, MN. God bless you and your friends always.
Kay – MN
As a hospice chaplain, I can tell you when I hand my terminally ill patients their cross, they clutch it as something more precious than gold. We do not worship the cross but the One who went to the cross for us. It is the message of the cross that has been conveyed to these sweet people and their families that they cling onto. It is the very hope and peace that Jesus brings. Thank you for your ministry and the hearts that are touched by each cross that is handed to someone special in the eyes of our Lord. God bless you and yours!
Pastor Pete – AZ
I had picked up a couple of your crosses in Oatman, AZ last year and a couple this year. I gave some to friends and they were happily received so decided to have some on hand to put in cards, etc. Thank you for this wonderful service.
Beverly – MN
These are so inspiring. Our church gave them out about a year ago. Now I want to order for myself to give to my friends for them to pass on to others inspiring them to know Christ and get nearer to him. Thanks for the wonderful job you do in spreading the word about our Savior. Bless and thanks to all of the volunteers for their beautiful craftsmanship and dedication to the symbols of our religious roots.
Thank you for all the crosses. I enjoy doing this mission of keeping God’s love visible one cross at a time! God’s blessings and my hugs.
Darlene – MN
I need to share the blessing from your obedience as servants doing God’s work. We have one more bible study left for the fall quarter. Each woman in our table group received a cross at their spot today. They were very appreciative. I had taken some extra and told them to feel free to take more and the box is almost empty. Just as the tomb was empty HE is not here, just as HE said. HE is being spread right from here to whomever GOD chooses. It is so exciting. Thank you for your love. In Christ,
Pam – WA
The ember story…. I have always had a strong faith….but now I KNOW I don’t want to be that lone ember. I am so blessed that I received your cross and card today. That is a true miracle from Him, I am in recovery from several issues and every single thing I read in your site had to be put there by Him to be found by me today to save me just like I have been praying for, especially last night!!!!! I DO believe I WAS drowning!
A lady at my church gave me the cross and told the story and we knew right away we would like to share the crosses with those who attend my daughter’s wedding in April, 2017. We weren’t going to give out gifts at the wedding, but when we saw the crosses, we knew in our hearts we would be remiss if we didn’t. Their wedding is to glorify God and it is one week before Easter. Thank you for all you do. We feel so blessed.
Holly – WA
Several months ago, I purchased 700 crosses from your company. I thought I would let you know where they are going. I am one of the youth leaders at Community Lutheran Church here in Las Vegas. Out youth group has been doing a lot of community outreach. We have a huge number of homeless people here. Our kids came up with the “Matthew Kits” idea and it has been well received by our church. These bags are filled with hygiene products, snacks, a bottle of water, list of services available and maybe a new pair of socks or a new T-shirt. They are handed out to anyone that needs some help. Our congregants welcomed this option because some of them were not comfortable just handing out money. Each bag has one of your crosses in it. Blessings.
Nelly – Community Lutheran Church, Las Vegas, NV
Thank you for this unique way of presenting Jesus to the world.
Joan – MN
I recently came across the small cross with the big message. It was awesome to read. I believe it would be a great ministry for so many to get out and spread the love throughout this world.
Rebecca – MN
We appreciate all you do. Your crosses have become a staple in our gift baskets. Thank you!
CUPS – Lafayette, LA
I just have to share this wonderful story about how everyone is making God’s love visible, one cross at a time! Recently, I was traveling through Arizona with my bowling friends. We stopped in Oatman to take in the sights and fun of this little historical town. On the way back to the car, I noticed crosses hanging by a building, with a sign that read ‘Please Take!’ Well, because I’ve been passing out Cross The World crosses for over a year or so, I recognized them as the same! After getting into the car to leave, I saw a nice little gentleman carrying the bag that you ship the crosses in. I got out of the car and stopped the gentleman and said, “Excuse me sir, but I thank you for passing on the crosses. I do the same thing in Minnesota!” He gave me a big hug and said, “God bless you!” We thanked each other and parted. I was so excited that I forgot to ask his name or even give him mine! But the girls were so amazed that these crosses do get PASSED ON ALL OVER THE WORLD! Thank you so much for the wonderful work you do making God’s love visible, one cross at a time!
Darlene – MN
I will be giving the crosses to my customers and the homeless here in Arizona.
Sandee – AZ
I forgot to order these in time to hand out at my Health Fair at church but will use them at another time. Thank you for all you do! I recently gave them to several ladies in a Bible study; they loved them. Two crosses are being sent to Spain by one woman!
Diane – MN
I’ve been passing out these wonderful crosses to the homeless instead of money. It’s amazing to see people’s faces light up when they see the cross and hear the words ‘God bless you!’. Thank you for this awesome ministry.
Denise – MN
You gave me that wooden cross and I thank you so much for that!! You have no idea of the timing of getting this from you today!! Nearly 2 years ago this coming May, I will have 2 years behind me of being diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer. I had a major surgery at Mayo Clinic to remove the tumor called a Whipple surgery. I go in every 3 months for MRIs and blood work watching a lesion on my liver and making sure it has not yet metastases. I have been having some really good days and some not so good days lately. I anxiously await the appointments at Mayo and this cross brought tears to my eyes!!!!!!! Thank you so much!
Lisa – MN
Thank you so much for the beautiful crosses. I give one to each new resident that moves into our Assisted Living building. They love them! God bless you for the work you do!
Denny – The Pines Senior Assisted Living, Jackson, MN
Thank you so much for continuing this mission of Cross The World.
Dar – MN
My sister’s Methodist Church in St. Paul gave these crosses out last week. I was the lucky ‘Pass It On’ recipient. Thank you so much for your mission to Cross The World! What a great ministry!
Pamm – WI
Thank you so much for providing the crosses we have used to proclaim Christ tremendous love. This past year we made the crosses into necklaces with a cord necklace and beads of wood and plastic. We gave out 300 in Guatemala while we were there with the HELPS ministry in Huehuetanago. We will take more of them again this March. In June, we passed out 300 cross necklaces at the Monticello Walk and Roll Day. Besides handing out the crosses, prayer was prayed with the people. In February, we presented 50 cross necklaces to the Teen Challenge group who performed at our church. In September, we gave away cross necklaces at The Fall Festival at Faith Lutheran Church. At present, crosses are being made into necklaces for this years Guatemala mission trip.
Faith Lutheran Church – Monticello, MN
I just wanted to say thank you for making these! I was recently on vacation in Arizona and Community Lutheran Church in Bullhead City, AZ had hung some of your crosses at a tourist location with a sign saying ‘Free – Take One!’. I just thought that was the neatest thing – it felt like God was saying ‘Hello!’ I brought mine home and showed it to my pastor and our church will probably order some too. I just want to have some to share with people. Thank you again!
Wendy – KY
Our company has a Christian Employee Resource Group at work. We plan to give these crosses away at our Easter event to our CERG members. I love how we can bring God into our workplace!
Tammy – MN
Our youth group took them to Omaha, NE this summer!
St. Aloysius Catholic Church – Olivia, MN
Crosses … how to get more. They really work; I’ve been carrying one for a long time. I’ve had several operations this year; I had 4 and one to go. My cross is with me 24/7 and I carry one extra one to give one away. I gave them all away and I needed one last weekend to give one to a friend who needs one badly. I told him to pray each day and I’ve had nurses pray with me before the operation. So prayer works; it makes me feel good also. Please let me know where I can get more crosses; I need to pass them on. Thank You. Prayers are with you always.
Doug – MN
First Lutheran Church, Galveston, gave 2 crosses tied together to everyone who came to the Cluster Meeting in August. The Cluster is a meeting (Cluster) of Lutheran Churches in our area – LaMarque, Texas City, Santa Fe, Alvin, Dickinson, and possibly 2 more. We meet twice a year at different Churches in the Cluster. Usually we have a devotional, business meeting, exchange things going on in each Church, take a collection that is given to a needy project in our area and have lunch. We are all in a part of the Gulf Coast Synod of the ELCA. I believe that everyone liked the idea.
Joyce – TX
A Christian who has been instructed by God to share the cross with others. These will go to individuals of a homeless shelter we have served and a nursing home we visit.
Brenda – KY
Thank you so much! You are a blessing to so many and I pray that you will continue to be blessed in this ministry!
Jackie – MT
Thank you so much for the beautiful crosses! Everyone loved and appreciated receiving them at our concert. Many blessings to you and your family this Christmas.
Rachael – Central MN Teen & Adult Challenge, Brainerd, MN
God is working in this program. Thank you for being a part of it.
Joe – MN
It is so gratifying to give your crosses away and see the enthusiasm they create. We recently gave your crosses free to folks who came to our Kingman, AZ church yard sale last weekend, and they were well-received. About three months ago, an arsonist started two church fires in a neighboring town of Dolan Springs, Arizona, and one of the churches burned to the ground. We sent those folks 50 of your crosses to remind them that they still are a “church,” even without their building. My husband and I hope to visit your ministry this summer when we do our normal pilgrimage to Grand Rapids, Minnesota to see family.
Diane – AZ
Cross the World continues to be my FAVORITE way to witness to people, whether it be family members, friends, or complete strangers. It is very gratifying to give the crosses to someone, then to find out later that they have ordered several hundred of their own crosses to pass on. God bless all the folks whose hearts and hands make this ministry possible.
Diane – AZ
May God richly bless you in your faithful and heartfelt service for our Lord and Savior.
Elaine – MN
The Evangelism & Discipleship Committee at First Baptist Church, Bemidji, will be using the crosses in various ministries and giving to those in congregation who have a need for them. Thank you!
Dodie – First Baptist Church, Bemidji, MN
Our church went on a mission trip to Thailand two years ago. One of the children’s most favorite gift to receive were the crosses. Our church is going back to Thailand this year and I’m really excited to give out the crosses again. Thank you so much for your work. It is so nice to explain the significance of the cross to people who have never heard the message.
Doug – Cedar Valley Church, Bloomington, MN
Jesus breathes His Holy Spirit into us. Through the spirit’s power, when a Christian hugs you, Jesus hugs you. When a Christian prays for you, Jesus prays for you. When you show love and encouragement to others, Jesus expresses his love through you. We do make a difference, one person at a time.
Dar – MN (excerpt from “From Christ In Our Home”)
I’m here again to order some more crosses. What a blessing they are! The last ones were for my son and daughter in law. They live in Hastings and spend time with a Spanish speaking church in Minneapolis. They gave them each a cross and they loved it! Thank you and God Bless You!
Connie – MN
Two of our members had ordered a couple hundred wooden crosses you have been making for the witness of Jesus Christ. We have been giving these wooden crosses, along with our church brochure, to the neighbors in our community. It has been very positively received.
I am a native of Japan, although I became an American Citizen almost ten years ago. My mother lives in one of the Lutheran retirement facilities in Tokyo and I will be visiting her there at the end of this month. I am going to visit my home church where my family belongs and plan to present these crosses to the congregation. They can share them with visitors and members alike, for them to wear and witness the love of Jesus Christ.
Your ministry is very unique and I can almost feel His love and grace through this wonderful ministry.
– In His Spirit,
Interim Pastor Yutaka Kishino
Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Moreno Valley, CA
These crosses will be going to Burma to the Po Karen people group. The previous crosses we ordered were in Spanish and went with our daughter and the Lakeville North FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) mission team to the community of Jaracaboa, Dominican Republic. She returns on Saturday, August 8th. We can’t wait to hear who they shared the crosses with! Thank you so much!
Jodi – Messiah Lutheran Church, Lakeville, MN
I am sending an extra $15 to help you with your wonderful mission. Be sure I will be passing them on to our children to pass them on to someone in their family or friends.
Sheila – River Falls Assembly of God, River Falls, WI
How exciting to read about how Cross The World crosses are literally crossing the world. To God give the glory!!
Carla – MN
This past week, we distributed the 100 crosses we received to seniors at the Intercultural Senior Center in Omaha as well as to several of the attendants of the Young Neighbors in Action Mission Group. The seniors were from Nepal, Burma, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and the United States. The students from YNIA were from Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Thank you again!!
Karen – St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Olivia, MN
Hello from Monticello. We had a successful Walk and Roll on Saturday. We gave away 300 cross necklaces using your beautiful crosses. Phyllis and her husband Tim made most of them. What a commitment of love and time to further the cause of Christ. Next year, we hope to do 500 crosses. Pastor and I had a wonderful trip to Guatemala and enjoyed giving away 500 + crosses. We gave away little wooden necklaces and neon plastic cross necklaces plus almost 200 of your crosses made at my house by 13 dedicated people. What a joy and fellowship around making the crosses to give away. I hope to take more along next year when I go. We have a Fall Festival in Sept and hope to give some away then. I know Phyllis has probably already ordered some for that. Thank you again for your love of CHRIST and your ministry of Passing on the Cross of Christ to Cross the World. I am so thankful God has allowed me to be part of doing this. God bless you. I enjoyed your newsletter. Keep up the great ministry.
Love, Kay – Faith Lutheran Church, Monticello, MN
Thank you for all you do. God bless.
Tom – MN
You may recall I was first introduced to Cross The World at SonShine Music Festival, Summer 2013. At that time, I brought the crosses to a childrens home in Nicaragua. I have been on 6 short term trips to Nicaragua and, most recently, I lived there from June 2014 – February 2015. I am interested in bringing this next box to a community in Nicaragua that I am building a non-profit and child sponsorship program for. Last night, we were awarded with partnership of a non-profit organization. Thank you for listening to the Lord and doing His work.
Stephanie – MN
Hello there! Spring gatherings, conventions, Good Friday, Easter! Just sent 33 crosses to Fir Lawn Lutheran Church in Sweet Home, Oregon (33 = the age of Jesus when He died). God bless you all and thank you sending crosses from last summer at SonShine! That was a blessing!!
Susan – AZ
These crosses will be given to all our AWANA clubbers this Spring as we talk about what Jesus did for us on the cross. Thank you so much!
Dawn – MN
Thank you so much for the beautiful crosses. We will be taking 200 of them to Guatemala and giving 50 to a group from Teen Challenge. God bless you.
Kay – MN
Last summer our team from St. Michael Lutheran Church in Portage, MI took with them 175 crosses to Lac Brochet, Manitoba to give to the children at Vacation Bible School and others in the community. They were so touched when they received the cross. They live in a very harsh climate and have many difficulties to overcome. Giving people the cross was a special way for us to share God’s love with them. We are going back in April to continue to minister to the people in Lac and encourage them with the gospel. It would be wonderful if we could have more crosses on hand to pass out. Thank you so much for you wonderful ministry. God bless you.
Dana – MI
Please accept our sincere thanks for shipping the 500 crosses so promptly. We will be dividing them among our mission groups in our church and we have many:
Nu-2-U monthly clothing give away (150)
Free Monthly Community Dinners (125)
Pastor(s) visits to the sick (30)
Divine Sisterhood Easter baskets for the shut-ins (30)
Congregation (165) for Easter Sunday (160)
I have been looking for something to hand to the people that we care for. Small bibles, printed hand outs just didn’t seem to be what I was looking for, the crosses are perfect. I received mine while at a men’s retreat in Jumonville, PA and knew I had to order them as soon as I got home. As Methodists, we do not have many open and visible means to show our faith and your crosses are perfect. I’m sure we will be in touch next year.
Dave – Faith Community UMC, Rochester, PA
This will make my 4th of 100; all 300 are gone. I should have ordered earlier, but a friend wanted 10 to give to her Bible study group and that took all I had left. No problem if I have to wait … I will just say ‘Jesus loves you and so do I!’ I so love giving the crosses to children! The smile on their faces is a joy! Thank you for all you do to help others ‘come near to God, so He will come near to you’.
Dar – MN
The crosses just arrived. God bless you folks. Very special.
Bill – MN
Thanks for all you do to spread God’s love to others. And, also, God bless you for making Harlow’s dream come true.
Mary – MT
Enclosed is my check for shipping 200 crosses. As chairman for the Evangelism Committee of our congregation, we are planning to use them as outreach tools to others. God’s continued blessings on such a wonderful ministry.
Rev. Herb – MT
I forgot to report back: I distributed about 100 crosses in Little Grand Rapids, Manitoba, on my LAMP mission trip this summer. I will be distributing 60 later this semester in two of my classes at the University of Northwestern, St Paul, too. Thank you!
Kent – MN
Thank you for this wonderful mission of ‘Cross The World’. One day after I gave our WELCA ladies crosses, one of them told me that she had handed hers to a young lady in church. With tears, this young girl thanked her. When I heard this, I know this mission makes people feel wanted. Thank you so much!
Darlene – MN
I received one of these Crosses on a day when I needed that personal reminder that God does know our hearts and He hears our prayers, that He is sovereign and we can trust Him in all things, that He cares more for us than we understand, that He stands with us in the midst of the fire, the timing of getting this Cross hung on my coffee cup at my desk, while I was away at lunch, only God knew the meaning of the time of day when I came back to my desk and saw this Cross, and my heart then rested in Him. The struggling, hurting and tearing was over and all things were placed in His hands, and there was peace, in His provision, His Son Jesus Christ.
This is His story and we get to be written in it….Jesus yielded all things on the Cross,…and I so often want to take every other route around the Cross,….instead of just going to the Cross and yielding all things (me). I want to thank-you for providing such an amazing way of reminding us, of where to start with God no matter what time of day it is.
Delcie – MN
Thank you for the experience making crosses at Sonshine. When we returned home we gave crosses to our relatives who like in Breckenridge, CO and Denver, CO. The gift gave us a needed opportunity to remind them of the benefits of being in relationship with Jesus. We will be making crosses at VBS at Riverside Reformed Church in Bloomington, MN. Thank you for the quality pieces to create the cross gift. Your mission is truly awesome!
Carina – MN
We handed out 200 crosses to those who are poor and just out of prison at Center of Hope in Sioux Falls, South Dakota during Holy Week. Our guests loved them and always wondered how much they cost. When they were told they were a gift, they asked if they could take a few more for their children and grandchildrens Easter gift. Some of the Natives wanted to do beadwork around the cross. It was a very fun time!
Helene – SD
It is a wonderful ministry you have through the crosses. My husband and I were visiting an old mining town in Oatman, AZ while on vacation in NV. Community Lutheran had placed several crosses on a ‘Welcome to Oatman, AZ’ sign with a note to take one.
I did take one and found the words attached to the cross to be so inspirational that I took it to my church’s Evangelism Committee and requested we order some from you. We plan to use them for multiple audiences: new visitors to our church, older members (many shut-ins) to whom I coordinate a Lay Visitation ministry, to our youth (mid and senior high students) in hopes that they will show them to other students and “pass it on”, plus we’re planning on coordinating with our Chamber of Commerce on ways to give them out to visitors to our lovely city, thereby spreading the word out to folks from other cities/states. Hopefully, we will also find a way to get some to the lonely and needy who really need God in their life. Also, we have a Methodist related college here in LaGrange, GA and some may go to selected students there.
And so you can see, I and my church hope to “make God’s love visible one cross at a time” through many of all ages. Thank you so much for the blessing each cross offers. Blessings.
Pat – GA
I received my cross at Vacation Bible School at a small church in Spicer, MN. Being a visitor from Montana, I didn’t expect to leave with such a meaningful gift in my hand. You have helped me to remember that the Body of Christ surpasses state and country lines. Thank you and you have a friend in the Rockies.

Just a note to say Jesus has kept me alive, for reasons I am slowly learning, and reasons unknown. In 2007, I went inpatient for bi-polar and anxiety and would not have made it to today. I wish there was some way I could help just one person to understand there is help for this debilitating illness. I take trust in the Lord that when I speak about it, whether I am judged or not, that someone hears there is a way.
We saw your booth at SonShine Fest in Willmar, MN this year and it really touched me that someone would provide crosses. Mine is hanging on my mirror to help driving distances a bit calmer. Thank you!

I work in seniors’ homes as a home health aid. When I was at Sonshine 2013 I picked up crosses for my client and co-workers in one home. They were all blessed and some are still thankful for the meaning of the cross being brought to them. Thank you very much for allowing me to be able to bless these people.

I am a parish nurse at Grace Lutheran Church in MN. What an awesome ministry you are providing! We have been handing out your crosses with every contact we make. Tomorrow in church, we will be collecting donations to support CROSS THE WORLD. I was wondering if you could tell me how many crosses you have distributed so far?

Susan: Great question … I wish I could give you an exact number but I don’t always write down small quantities that are given out. So, our best guess is around 80,000 … and we think we are a little light on that number!!! Thank you all for being such good foot soldiers!!!

More from Sue: ‘Coins for Heaven’s Sake is a monthly stewardship event at Grace Lutheran Church. Pails are passed around and coins/donations are collected for different ministries. We collected $240.32 for Cross The World. When the check is issued, I will send it with an order for more crosses.
I was first introduced to your ministry at my parish nurse training class. We have given them during home/hospital/nursing home visits, at GLCW and circle meetings, at Cross Training classes, at a Depression Awareness community event. I have had requests from parishioners for them so that they can give to others and now I leave out a basket with a few crosses in the church entry so that they are available at all times. When I retired from the nursing home last December, I gave a cross to each resident and staff member as a visible sign of God’s love.
I believe that the crosses that have been handed out, have had such a positive impact. We want to continue and expand the number of people we are reaching. God bless you and your ministry!.
In God’s love, Sue
Thank you and your church, Sue, for thinking about Cross The World and making such a special donation to our work. It was much appreciated!!
I just received a cross in the mail from my niece in Kalamazoo, Michigan–showed it to our pastor and we thought that this would a wonderful Easter gift for members of our congregation at Easter Breakfast. I am ordering 300 crosses.

We handed out the crosses Easter 2012 from our Health Ministry. I ordered so many that now we are including them with the prayer shawls that we give out. They have also have been given to nursing home and hospital patients at our health ministry visits. They are appreciated by all. Thank you for your efforts in making God’s work visible.

I just can’t thank you enough for getting my order to me weeks before I expected. Now the youth from our church will be able to take them to Los Angeles where they will do mission work with the homeless and make a connection with them, through our youth, all the way from Minnesota. God is GOOD, all the time. All the time, God is GOOD.
…I will spread the word and help you get going out in the desert. I am going to a Synod Conference in Tucson, AZ next month and plan on telling them about your wonderful ministry. I will also let you know how it goes with the youth in LA and how well the crosses are received. God bless you, may He watch over you and protect you, guide you and fill you with His love and grace.
